The comforter has a nice weight to it and is great with just a sheet. When I looked at the bedding picture I thought the reverse side was a solid white on white pattern, but it is actually thin stripes of colors that coordinate with the tropical pattern and give it versatility. It looks really nice against our dark cherry bed and I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a tropical comforter, but do not want to be overwhelmed with pattern or bright color.
